ASR117R1 BOAR KeyMod Carbine Replica
This carbine replica by APS is an innovative conceptual APS construction. The replica is based on a construction typical for a series of popular American carbines and equipped with a more and more popular modular KeyMod handguard.
A long, top RIS 22 mm rail allows for the attachment of various optical sights. The set includes a kit of slant, flip-up Fiber Optic iron sights. This attachment deserves special attention - they allow to fire both using a high and low profiles thanks to the possibility of being set in two positions.
The aforementioned KeyMod system is probably the most characteristic feature of this replica. KeyMod is a universal mounting platform that allows for a full adjustment of the replica to the User’s individual needs. It is an “open-source" project designed by Eric Kincel. Dedicated segments, for instance, RIS rails (KeyMod nuts) can be attached to the KeyMod handguard in any position or configuration due to holes placed around the grip (KeyMod slots). The set includes three of such 22 mm RIS segments.
The replica features an RS1 telescopic stock with an adjustable length, inside of which is room to store a battery. One of the rails has a socket for the attachment of a QD tactical sling swivel. Both the front and rear (double-sided) swivels were made of steel. The stock has also sockets for QD (quick detach) tactical sling swivels. The replica has a specially-constructed, enlarged charging handle.
The heart of this replica consists of a new type "Silver Edge" gearbox. A unique technology has been used during the production process of this gearbox in order to assure the most accurate polish and finish of its elements. All this results in a significant improvement of the system’s performance and lifetime due to the reduced friction and, what follows, an increased smooth operation of the system’s components. It is equipped with a Quick Spring Change System that allows the User to change the muzzle velocity of the replica without having to open up the gearbox. Despite that, the construction is fully compatible with a majority of tuning parts available on the market and spare parts in TM V2 standard, which allows for an easy replica tuning in case such a need arises.
Reinforced gears were mounted on 8 mm, metal bearings, inside are also a bearing-mounted piston head and a spring guide. The electric system consists of a silver-plated, low-resistance wiring, while the replica’s motor has a metal core. The cylinder and semi-precision internal barrel with a diameter of 6.04 mm were made of stainless steel.
The replica features a HighPower EBB Electric Blow Back system - an electric system that imitates the bolt’s operation. This increases the realism when using the replica and brings it significantly closer to the experience of firing the live firearm original, thus giving an additional dose of pleasure from shooting.
The replica comes with a polymer, Hi-Cap magazine with a capacity of up to 300 BBs.
